Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to ChallengeAdmin. This agreement governs the relationship between ChallengeAdmin ("the Provider") and the Escape Room Venue ("the Customer"). By using the ChallengeCam Hub, the Dashboard, or any associated services, you agree to these terms.

2. Hardware & "Bring Your Own Camera" (BYOC) Policy

The Hub

We provide the processing unit known as the "ChallengeCam Hub". This hardware is shipped to you and is covered by a limited warranty (see below).

Bring Your Own Camera (BYOC)

Our system is explicitly designed to work with third-party cameras (USB or RTSP) provided by the Customer. ChallengeAdmin does not manufacture or sell cameras.

Disclaimer

ChallengeAdmin is strictly not responsible for:

  • Image quality, resolution, or field of view of your chosen cameras.
  • Low-light performance or graininess of the footage.
  • Connectivity issues caused by local network infrastructure or third-party camera hardware failures.

Warranty

A limited warranty applies only to the ChallengeCam Hub unit we ship. This warranty does not extend to any attached peripherals, cameras, cables, or your local network equipment.

3. SaaS Subscription

The ChallengeAdmin Dashboard, video processing capabilities, and cloud features are subscription-based services.

Non-payment: Failure to pay subscription fees will result in the suspension of video processing services. While the Hub may remain powered on, it will cease uploading or processing new footage until the subscription differs.

4. Video Content & Licensing

Ownership

The Venue retains full ownership of the raw footage recorded at their location.

License

The Venue grants ChallengeAdmin a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access, process, encode, overlay logos/branding, and store the footage solely for the purpose of delivering the service to the Venue and its customers.

5. Compliance & Consent

Venue Responsibility

The Venue is solely responsible for all legal compliance regarding video recording in their jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Posting clearly visible signage indicating that recording is in progress.
  • Obtaining necessary waivers or consent from players/participants to be recorded.
  • Ensuring compliance with local privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA where applicable).

Prohibited Use

The use of ChallengeAdmin services for hidden camera or "spy" purposes in private areas, such as restrooms, changing rooms, or employee break rooms, is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of service.
